At Alegria we want to share our love and compasion for the Argenting tango, Vals, and Milonga.
Tim has been dancing for most of his life. Having danced ballroom in the American and International syle of dance for more than 10 years, and now concentrates on the Tango alone. Back in december of 1996, timmy held the first Tango workshop in cleveland back in 1996, and since then has brought a great many of the best names in tango to the Cleveland Area for workshops. Timmy has performed the tango on stage at the Allen and the Palace Theater for Folklore shows and Television 8 News to promote the stage show "Tango Buenos Aires. This past summer Timmy, Joanne and some of his friends performed at the "Taste of Cleveland, down in the flats, and continues to promote the Argentine tango where ever they can. Timmy and Joanne as taught the tango classes in Cities like Pittsburgh, Columbus, Oh. Toronto, Canada. Erie, Pa.and our biggest gig ever, the Chicago Mini Milonguero Tango Festival along with Tete y Silvia, Oscar and Maryann Casas, and Maxilianno Guzman.Timmy has also DJed in many large cities like Las Vegas at the Riveria Hotel two years in a row. In Washington,DC. at there New Years Eve Bash, and Toronto for New Years Eve. And regular milongas in Pittsburgh, Detroit, Cincinnati, Ann Arbor, and Columbus. Tim's new venture is that he is now a Substitute DJ on Radio Staion WOBC 91.5 on your FM dial Tim's first broadcast was Sunday, Mar 2 and after the first 3 song's everything went well. In June we will have our own show called, Sunar y Nada Mas (Dreaming, nothing more)
